Learning Moment

Learning Moment

About a year ago I had a Professor suggest to the students to try and connect the courses we were taking with other courses. He said that the school work we were creating should relate to our personal lives in some way. He suggested that rather than just learn the information to pass the test, we connect the information in a meaningful way so that we could retain it. This has changed the way I look at school. Ever since then, I have tried to apply the things I learn to real life experiences. This gives meaning to the things I am learning. It is amazing when you can actually see the connection, and have it make sense to you.
I am currently taking a marketing class and the professor for that class is constantly telling students that it is important to have a love of learning. He has also suggested some of the same ideas as my other professor had. I am continually learning, and love the fact that I am able to take the college courses I have. So many doors have been opened to me because of the opportunity of learning. Learning and apply the things you learn, can only happen if you learn to love learning.
